Ferry ride to Kootenay Bay

So where is Gray Creek? Well, it's on the east shore of Kootenay Lake, about 1/4 of the way down from Kootenay Bay to Creston. You need to take a ferry to get here, coming from the direction we were. It is billed as the world's longest free ferry ride. Thanks, whoever is paying! It is incredibly beautiful along here - huge mountains coming up out of the lake. Another campsite right on the water - we sure are getting great spots! It kind of reminds me of the gulf islands - not much traffic, small, winding road and lots of trees. The road follows the lake, giving a more or less continuous breathtaking vista.
